Pinochio is operatic and romantic

92st and 2av in Manhattan...warm and flavorful Italian food in a romantic setting...no lie. Music and posters have an opera theme. Service is professional and yet family-like.
Tamarind (downtown manahattan on Hudson)

Bar service was distracted and solicitous greeters gave good hiand byes but this beautiful interior wasn't matched by the food which was slow in coming and cold in an empty palace, The shrimp and chicken kebabish dish were good ...and thanks for the makeup pistachio kulfi. Blah humbug.

Mrs. Kim has me over a river barrel

Because Mrs. Kim is the new name for the kitchen and bar formerly known as River Barrel in Greenpoint Bklyn at 160 Franklin St.
Sunday brunchette featured great spicy bloody marys and excellent dumplings and Korean buns (pork or tofu). Excellent nick knack and clothing and bricka brac stores to roam before stepping in and getting cozy. Next time i am going for the bim bop.
