Zu Zu Ramen
4av park slope . dumplings. shrimp ramen , fantastic mini pork buns ,saki. woody decor. near Union St. and Degraw on the R train. SUPERB.
On The Beach; lobster burgers, shark and bake, and lemon on bbq salmon and more shorties

Frank and kristen put chopped whole lemons over their salmon and bbqed the fish and then scraped the lemon stuff off. That was a good idea.........In Trinidad Anthea and ed took us to shark and bake at Richard's shack on the beach...the mango chutney and 15
other toppings and condiments on the special rolls were so good my vegi-spouse liked it without the shark....at 222 Lafayette St
nr Spring in Soho Ed's Lobster Bar has a long friendly marble counter and lobster burgers(cakes) and oysters and steamers and shrimp and a great selection of wines and whole lobsters and bisque . Dad's store was 222 wilson ave ..my uncle's bar in Baltimore was the Three Deuces(222 n baltimore st). so this is the new triple 2 in my life.... Recently celebrated a dear friend's mother's life. After the funeral we all drove to the ocean to Asbury Park at Tom Mcloone's Supper Club not far from The Stone Pony (The Boss)and locations from Mickey O'Rourke's "Wrestler." Go there and dance to old tunes and walk on the boardwalk.

don peppe's vescuvios :17 friends time travel

on lefferts blvd in queens near jfk and north of route 27 sits john("no dont call before saturday...why do i need your last name?
Are you all here? ") and platters of baked clams, stuffed mushrooms, ziti, veal and chinese chicken and brocolli and tartuffo and cappacino and a sense that you are in another dimension...the house wines are $18@bottle ,not a glass, and you will find the love of the crowd you lead there. But be warned ...if like me you really wanted to talk to all your friends or snap photos of the lush linguini in clam sauce there is no time to talk and you cannot snap fast enough.

Buttermilk CHANNEL on corner of Court and Huntington and Fried Chicken Heaven
The pedigree begins at Blue Water Grill (see geneology.com and yivo chicken web site) but the real deal is classic lines and Bob Dylan and Little Richard..chenin blanc and little tini oysters with tomato chutney and piles of great fried chicken and waffles from the '64 Fair and there is a star trek like capuccino maker and a Bonny Doon desert wine I never heard of and a winter veg pasta that was rooty kazootie and there were hip young people who looked and acted with grace and beauty. And
fairest of them all... mini popovers. 524 COURT ST 7188528490

nick and barbara go to lima...and then so do we
Nick Taylor is a sailor, travel writer, and leading non fiction writer with an instinct for the right book to write at the right time( eg American-made about the depression era WPA ..paperback in February. QED). Barbara Nevins Taylor is an Emmy award winning tv journalist who is known for investigative discoveries. And now for the food Nexus. They went to Peru, discovered and drank Pisco sours, ate shrimp and veggie Causas (mashed potato balls),Peruvian Cerviches, chicken anticuchos (hot green sauce) and aji de pollo(shredded chicken with yellow pepper sauce) ; so we all went to Lima's Taste on Christopher and Bedford and sat in the window and ate some of the best spicy food I have ever had. It is a little dark...a little moody. The waiter was a little dour.
