Tornedo Hits and Block parties with many totos and dorothies and a cancer researcher who plays a mean guitar
Our Park Slope Street, featured on p1 of the NYT lost trees, cars and awnings but not spirit. Music and Tim"s clam and margarita
bar gave sustenance(Tim is a WIZ because of the wonderful things he does)..there was the Caroline and Alice Waters plum tart and my salami and provolone and pepper spread hero.
Children slid and scooted for hours and all was right with the moment in bklyn that made us feel like tin men and scarecrows and cowardly lions who survived. Thanks especially Auntie Em....I mean Emily.

FORT DEFIANCE
Van Brunt in Red Hook. This is a bar at which to nest with muscles and wine and beer and meet the artist/bartender and enjoy the watermelon and feta salad. A place to make new friends.

Bino no boffo
278 smith st. Pleasant newcomer with good rapini califlower pasta and ok pompano(looked real good) and weak panzanella salad
and gritty manila clams and muscles in disappointng red broth.
red egg chinese potential
Centre street north of canal RED EGG has charm and good dim sum but the soupy juicy buns are neither. Steamed pork buns are likeable as are the staff. Fellow foodie Melissa was also positive about the pea shoots and turnip cakes.
