There were sheets of ice on the street Thursday and a friend took a fall...I slipped too but made it whole to a a new Viet restaurant which a found despite its newness to be a packed haven. A mention in the Times contributed to the surprising "Do you have reservations?" A seat at the bar was perfect as were the incongruous but sumptuous summer rolls and the veg noodles and shrimp and pork crepe. Cocktails
looked hip and professional and the chatter was not the kind that comes from the hard winter. This place seems too warm and promising for that.
